A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent email addresses under the same domain. For example, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from mates or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort in case you have a shared hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet surprisingly easy to use, and it will enable you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of clicks. All the email addresses that you have created will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each one you will notice a small-size "Catch-all" button. Clicking it once will enable the feature, clicking on it once more will disable it. Since you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you already have a different one with this option activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to set up a catch-all email mailbox without effort even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to accomplish that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each email address that you have created using your domains in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you do not want the feature any longer, you can turn it off by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
